GCSE Module Re-sits

I understand it is possible for pupils to take resits of parts of their GCSEs that they do less well in.

I assume the published GCSE results are those after all the resits - if universities can get data on pupils who retake their GCSEs are these data available publicly???

I don't think they know about resits. They only get info about 'cashed in' qualifications or anything you volunteer yourself.

What's "cashed in" qualifications?

I have read that the universities do ask if an A grade, say, was on the first or the fifth taking of it.

Cashing in means that you are done with the modules/resits and want the awarding body to issue a certificate.
