DS is just starting his GCSEs and was due to have his oral arabic exam yesterday. This is his worst subjected as he has only been doing it 2 years having sat his French early and the rest of the class are native speakers.
He has been teaching himself (with a little help from me and a private tutor the last few weeks) as his teacher decided last October that she didn't want to teach him as he was not a native teacher and flatly refused to have him in her class (thats a whole different thread)
Anyway, he had been given wrong information for weeks about the exam and only finally got the correct info a few days ago, studied really hard for it, up early yesterday morning to go through it all, gets into school and just before the exam they say he can't do it as the tape recorder is broken and they will have to re-schedule.
Surely a school should be a little more organised when kids are doing their GCSEs?

Yes, I would be very pi**ed off with the school. Hopefully your ds can get some some revision in but it isn't really the point.

Good luck to DS.

apparently the school bought a whole box of new tape recorders but only unpacked and tested them just before the exams. Needless to say, none of them worked and apparently the spanish exams were also cancelled.
Rumour has it DS's exam will now be tomorrow
