OK, I know they're generally in the summer term of year 11, but can anyone enlighten me as to which weeks they actually happen.

I've just found out my nephew is getting married in 'May or June' next year (in France) & trying to find out the likleyhood of clashing badly with ds's GCSEs.

They will be May or June.

They start late May and go on through June.

some may be the week before spring bank ie 3rd week in May - may be the odd one before that (practicl exams usually) then the bulk are the first 2 or 3 weeks in June

To be more helpful than I was before, there is a table on the AQA site of exam dates in 2010.

Some performing arts subjects also have practical exams in March & April (depending on when Easter falls).

Most written exams are May & June

hmm, thanks all - looks like a fairly high chance of a clash then - which is a shame. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a late June wedding & an early finish for ds...

then I can justifyably take dd out of school & have an early holiday which would be nice.

Lilymaid that site was quite useful - AQA haven't put their times for summer 2010 in yet so I had to make some assumptions, but it looks like ds exams could start as early as 10th May and go right through to 18th June .
