Calling all maths teachers

This is going to sound daft, but I'd like to do some maths at home. I got my 'O' level way back in the stone age, but have forgotten a lot of what I learned (and I'm not honestly sure I understood some of it even back then).

What I'd really like to do is to work at home at my own pace, working my way through a school-type text book. When I was at school we did SMP maths - a new book each year, and I was wondering if there's an equivalent set of textbooks now, that I could buy (with the answers at the back so someone can mark my work for me).

Can anyone suggest a book or set of books for me - and if I could get them secondhand - even better.

Thanks!

WHSmiths sell all kinds of revision guides and text books for GCSE maths. Start there.

There's an SMP site here with some downloadable stuff.

Thanks Maureen and Juuule. I'll have a proper look at the SMP site later - maybe I can buy a book from there. I have looked at Smiths, but I couldn't see anything that looked like a set of course books - it's almost like there's too much choice there and I can't tell which book is going explain things as well as giving revision practice - if that makes any sense at all.
