Am thinking of moving to Dunblane for various reasons but have to think very carefully about schools as older two DC's very shy and sensitive (there is an additional support needs issue with DS2), they will really miss their friends where we are and are used to a small school. I have no qualms about academic performance at DHS but need more information about pastoral stuff and the atmosphere of the school, I visited but was rushed in and out by the depute head and didn't "feel the warmth" IYKWIM. I seem to have been forced into being a fussy mother by DS2's needs (am a bit uncomfortable with this role TBH). It would be v. expensive housing wise so not a descision to be taken lightly.
