dp has flu - proper couldn't get out of bed if he saw a £50 note blowing round the garden flu. Dd was off yesterday achy and cold-y but not as bad. She's slept but restlessly but she doesn't seem feverish this morning. She's now very soundly asleep. Do I assume she's still poorly and let her stay asleep? If she's going to school she needs to be up at 6.45 at the latest.

Curses - I have to be decisive without help!

I'd be inclined to let her sleep.

I would give her the benefit if the doubt and let her stay asleep!

Poor DH and DD. Wow, she has to get up early. Could you pop in with a cup of tea and wake her enough to see how she is?

If not, benefit of the doubt and let her stay home. Is it easy for you to care for her if she is off sick?

If it is convenient then could she stay asleep and go in once she wakes up and see how she feels? If she has been ill she probably needs her rest.

I would keep her off. That flu that is going around is dreadful. DH had it - started NY eve and he is still not fully right.

Thank you - I've decided to let her sleep. A sort of going with the flow decision - she looked so very young and sweet asleep I couldn't bring myself to wake her up! I'll send into school at lunch time if she wakes up full of beans.

Threadworm - yes, we either have to leave to get the bus at 7.30 or she has to leave at 7.45 on her bike to get the train. Her choice - she was determined to go to this particular school. If I had my time over, I would probably have over ruled her. I think. It's a fab school!

DS doesn't need to leave the house until 8:20, but he still manages to miss the bus sometimes. Grr.

Hope your dd feels better soon.
