ds1 started really well, but things have gone downhill in the past few weeks.
He lost his coat, but that turned up.

Still missing are:
Performing Arts T-shirt
School jumper (this was just today, so hopefully will turn up)
Pen this one He likes them, but at £5 a throw, I won't keep replacing them. If he loses it again he'll have to have cheap biros.

DD has lost a pencilcase jammed packed with pens - including the one your DS lost roisin, pencils, rules a compass and one of those semi circle thingy wotsits that measures angles - can't remember what they're called! Apart from that she hasn't lost a thing which is amazing since at Primary she was forever losing/leaving stuff all over the place.

DS lost brand new only worn once rugby boots. I refuse to buy him any more and am just relieved I didn't give in to his requests for those that cost £40.00.

Otherwise, it's just pens. I've been to Woolies closing down sale and bought masses and they're going in their Stockings!!!!

Ballet shoes
2 x school jumpers (I think that may have been deliberate as she wanted the logo's ones her friends have, she got one and has not lost it yet)
Whole PE bag inc kit (how? how did she manage that?)
hats/gloves/scarves etc x

roisin · 16/12/2008 18:40

Gosh that is a lot shesellseashells?! Has nothing turned up yet? How old is she?

Had to go to the school outfitters today. One polo shirt, 1 sweatshirt, 1 tie. £28.25 - just what I need before Xmas arrggh.............

christywhisty · 16/12/2008 19:49

My Thread from last year

He ended up losing 2 pairs of trainers and 2 school ties

roisin · 16/12/2008 20:19

Ha ha! I enjoyed that link. On that thread I said:
"I am dreading this when ds1 starts secondary next term, as he's not great at organising himself/remembering stuff!"

lol Roisin

I forgot he did lose his pe kit in the end and it cost £28 to replace it He did lose his glasses once but found them.
Last week he lost his german homework which I spent an hour doing with him.

End of term today so hopefully nothing else lost but so far this term (each separate incidents):

2 school socks
1 sports sock
Tracksuit bottoms
Tracksuit top
Sweatshirt (twice)
Gloves
School cap
School lunch bag (with lunch)
Entire sports kit - tracksuit, shoes, socks, shorts, top
Countless toys (they are allowed to take one small toy to school)

Fortunately the only things that have stayed lost are the socks, toys and gloves.

He is only 4 so I think it is probably quite hard for him to keep track of everything!

twoluvlysnowmen · 18/12/2008 20:29

DS and I found the rugby boots today - the school office person reached into the massive pile of "lost property" saying "Are these them? Of course, twoluvlysnowmen's ds, you've been every day to ask me for them, haven't you?!?!?"

Such a shame the rugby season's almost at an end at school......

roisin · 18/12/2008 20:32

ds1 tells me he has been to the lost property office again today
If they doesn't turn up tomorrow, I'll buy a new PA T-shirt over the hols. But I'm going to make him 'manage' with just one jumper for a couple of weeks, to see if it turns up!

My mum's coming over for christmas, and I've warned her to bring her sewing kit, as we will be having a massive sewing session sewing labels in at least 3 places in all his uniform!

Well, I've been to buy the new PA shirt today, £7
ds1 didn't seem that fussed. I told him he still needs to check out lost property next term and see if he can find his lost one and the school jumper.

I've also told him the next bit of uniform he loses will be replaced out of his pocket money.
