Should I be worried?

My dd[13] did well in year 7 and is mostly in the top sets. This year in her recent history and geography tests she's dropped from level 6 to level 5. Does this happen a lot? DD has a bit of an attitude problem at the moment and isn't bothered. Just wondering what to do..[if anything!]

Bump for you

My dd (yr8) is in a similar position, especially in French, so I am interested if anyone has any suggestions!

yep, its the "yr 8" dip I believe

my 13yo dd has decided she can't be bovvered with homework or concentrating in class, all her teachers are "useless" and she is much more interested in how short she can get away with having her skirt and her social life (boys)

she used to be sporty and was on all the school teams, ut is gradually getting dropped as she can't be bothered to give 100%

major attitude problem goin' on

as I type she is berating me 'cos I refuse to let her go with her friends to a large shopping mall at the weekend (it is 15 miles away)

if anyone has any coping strategies, please let us know
