Any teachers who can please explain these gsce results (wales ) in plain English !

AQA Biology unit 1 tier F (foundation ) 56
AQA Chemistry unit 1 tier F 43
AQA unit 1 Pyysics unit 1 Tier f 52

DD is in year 11 and got these results in Aug just gone.

I believe her course work is better because they have moved her up 3 sets !
Please can someone explain if she stands any chance of gaining a c grade in science at least ?

If understand the structure of the course, the Grade for a C in B1 is 53+, C1 is 48+ and P1 is 52+.

Her teacher should know exactly where she is, and whether she should be resitting any modules.

That is only the percent for the modules she did, She will get the proper grade next year with all her other GCSE results.

If those are %, she will be a long way off a C. The numbers I have give are out of 72.

Is she doing separate Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Science and Additional Science?

If she is doing separate sciences, these numbers will be added onto her Y11 modules. If she is doing Science/Additional Science each year is stand alone. This means that she would have all her Y10 grades already, and should know exactly what grade she has, and what resits she needs to do (if any) to get a C.

It's important to speak to the school so that she can be sure of getting the C. It is a very important qualification, and it would be a shame if she missed out for the sake of a few marks.
