Luckley Oakley School, Wokingham

I REALLY need some local opinions about Luckley Oakley School in Wokingham please.

Have visited it today for the second time and like it but their last report was from ages ago, 2004. We are moving to the area and have absolutely no knowledge of the school apart from the school themselves and the report.

Would really value some input about it. Thanks!

Hardly a local opinion, but a friend of mine went there until Year Eight and adored it. Heard nothing but good things about the place from her and her parents - teachers are apparently brillant, just like parents even to day girls and very involved in teaching.
It was recommended to me with a lot of enthusasim so I think it sounds like a very good school.

My colleagues daughter went there - loved it but transferred to a different 6th form to meet her subject requirements.

It USED to have a horrific uniform (I grew up in Wokingham) but I believe that has improved now.

I think it has good Pastoral care. Not as Academic as other like The Abbey, but good results anyway.

Will your DD be boarding? Wokingham has some excellant state schools as well.
