DD just told she got a C in maths gcse module 1.Anyone know if this is a gcse(please )

She goes to school in wales and rang to say that she passed her maths gcse module 1 with a c grade.
DD says this is a gcse but i dont think it is its just part of one.
Wales is very differrent can anyone enlighten me x

Don't know about maths, but in science a modular result is a result for the module, not the whole GCSE (IYSWIM). All the module results, the coursework marks and the examinations are added together, and that will give the final grade.

Maths teachers, can you enlighten us?
