fast tracking in English

My daughter who has just finshed y7 told me that her English teacher wants to fast track her next year, im not sure what that means and I dont want my daughter to have too much pressure too soon does anyone know what it entails, Thankyou

hi, my dd was fast tracked and it meant taking SATs in yr8 instead of 9 and doing GCSE English language in year 9 and she is now doing AS Lit in Yr11. We haveb't had a problem with the English as she enjoys it, however the other subjects they chose to make her do as well were less welcomed. Good luck

If she has an opportunity to do KS3 SATs a year early (at the end of yr8), then go for it! It gets the hoop-jumping out of the way, and she can concentrate on more interesting/rewarding things.
