Does anyone have any bad experience of this school. I couldn't find any but a couple of parents on another group told me that there are but just not published. The school looks good on paper but some parents feel unwelcome and detached. Children equally not terribly happy. Wondering if there is anyone with the actual experience happy to share privately or here. Thank you

Name change. I’ve had children at Aldenham and I think it’s the most incredible school. It’s incredibly busy and right through the school they expect the children to get involved. The house system is very strong and they do a lot in house so it’s important that they’re in a house they gel with
There are 2 girls houses, one with mainly borders and one which is purely a day house. The boys have several houses which are mostly mixed day and borders with one day house and they do have unique traditions etc.

Sports, drama and music are incredible and it’s a very busy school. The hours are quite long and it’s effectively still run along the lines of a boarding school. Pastoral care is excellent

However, it’s not particularly academically selective and therefore the results are good but not outstanding with the most academic students likely at Habs or the grammar schools

Fees now top over £32k a year. When we started senior they were about £18k. This has led to the demographics changing, a lot of the kids are from extremely privileged backgrounds and a lot of celeb children. It used to be more mixed with a lot of only children with 2 working parents sacrificing to pay the fees. It’s a bit less like that now

Overall we are huge fans. I’ve had 2 go through from reception and one through just the senior school

Thanks so much. We heard from a parent who’s child is there that the school was not supporting their needs and they are looking to leave. The child has SEN needs but not high, so it was surprising to hear that as they are marketed as a school that supports children with SEN. The child is in y9 perhaps other years are better. Also academically they are not that great.

I’m my experience they’ve been very good with SEN but I think it’s always very individual
