we are hoping to move out of London in the next 2 years and relocate to York ( I know it’s way off but can’t sell our house until 2028) DD is currently in year 4 so hopefully she can start year 6 in York ( so we can apply for secondary school for year 7). We are keen on Millthorpe and Fulford school. Looking at houses we can afford a decent size house up to £600k. What I wanted to ask is Dringhouses (off tadcaster rd) in the catchment area for Millthorpe school? What’s that area like? Asking about dringhouses because there’s a few houses there that are lovely and not far into York. And what are either of those schools like? Any other schools worth exploring in dringhouses area? We can move just outside the ring road but not sure if that’s in catchment for Millthorpe, and I’d have to drive DD to/from school ( I’d rather not drive that far ). Also, DH needs to get on a train to London 2/3 times a week for work so staying in the ring road would make it easier for him ( short bus ride)
Any thoughts on those location, schools, either good or bad, please let me know. Thanks
