Any views on the Hurlingham Academy in Fulham?

I have heard some stuff from a friend which hasn't been the most positive but understand experiences may be very different for everyone.

I can only share very shallow impressions, as I don't know any family there, so take it with a truckload of salt.

My impressions are that it has good academic results; it's stricter than average, but not batshit crazy like Mossbourne, Ashcroft, etc. The headteacher seems strict, but not one of those repressed guys who didn't have enough love from mommy when they were little kids.

The facilities are awful, especially the courtyard and the gym. During tours, I have seen many families describe them as utterly depressing.
It doesn't have a sixth form. It has a sister school near Clapham Common which has a sixth form.
Some families don't mind. Some do. Bear in mind that many schools prioritise their own students for 6th form admission.

It applies streaming. My very personal view is that I like the concept of sets but am no fam of streaming, and find their "grammar stream" just marketing bs. Other people will, of course, disagree. There have been a few threads on grammar streams.

I went to visit this school and thought it was one of the nicest in terms of facilities of the ones I saw! A lot more space than other schools within my catchment area. Good exam results and good range of subjects also.
