Kent Test 2026

Let’s discuss the Kent Test 2026, anything from Headteacher’s/parents’ appeal to standardised and raw scores to info on various grammars and catchments, logistics etc.

Remember you can reply to the email you receive on results day to ask for your child’s raw scores.

*bear in mind there may still be others taking the same papers right up until the end of the academic year (eg those that move into Kent at a later date) so no discussions on the actual questions themselves would be appreciated.

Good luck to all!

Ah you’re right, my apologies. I was told 112 but it was actually 108 in 2022. Should have fact checked first.

Workingsinmom · 15/10/2026 12:40

I’ve received email for my DD.

Good Luck to everyone!

Mskagwedemoos · 15/10/2026 12:42

Just got our email as well. My child passed - such a relief!

Fingers crossed for everyone!

newmum1976 · 15/10/2026 12:52

Passed here with a much higher score than expected. Is that the general theme?

MumOfBoys26 · 15/10/2026 13:14

We have a pass too. Good luck to anyone still waiting!

SmallDFartyCarNRG · 15/10/2026 13:28

Hope you have all had the emails - I know my friend who was waiting has had hers and they passed. Results seem to have come out a bit earlier than expected for some!

Osakagirl · 15/10/2026 13:28

A good pass here (378) but not the 40 marks over to join his brother at Skinners. It would have been enough in previous years. Let the stress begin...

Ladybird04 · 15/10/2026 13:33

My daughter got 394 does anyone know if that’s enough for a governor place out of catchment for togs? I’m guessing not a his year but thought I’d check just in case. Hope everyone’s OK today ❤️.

Rinse123 · 15/10/2026 14:42

DC didn’t pass. Missed the maths by 3 marks. So gutted for her.

Namechangeno500 · 15/10/2026 14:52

Passed with a score of 402 (after she convinced me she likely failed!!). I'm hoping it's high enough for our first choice.

If they were over the overall pass mark, I’m surprised this wasn’t a head’s appeal - do you know if the school put one in?

Rinse123 · 15/10/2026 15:02

I’ve asked the question I agree it should have been a HT appeal especially as she’s in top set for maths and the school know it’s her strength

lj9 · 15/10/2026 15:04

Any chances for schools in Kent for OOC score of 374 for girls?

Bigstare · 15/10/2026 15:23

Got the email earlier than expected as well. Really thankful my daughter passed. We’re not looking for super selective, just needed her to pass for our local school. The non selective as are much further away so we’ve all been really hoping for this. Quite low on maths which she had said she’d found hard - it’s her best subject usually so not sure how she managed to do so well on the other two but not maths. But doesn’t matter (I hope), a pass is a pass.

nomz10 · 15/10/2026 15:23

My daughter got 403. Would this qualify her for OOC at TOGS?

Just wanted to say congratulations, and I was in exactly the same position this time last year. The other obvious Tunbridge Wells choice is excellent so far, so don’t worry if Skinners waiting list doesn’t work out :-)

I've had a quick look on the 2026 test report, it looks like a very high scoring year to me. I think super selective cut offs will be very high.

Here is the link it has the report for this year and previous years

newmum1976 · 15/10/2026 16:57

Yes, my child got a high score, way over 400, but there are 100s of children that scored higher than him OOC. I wouldn't be surprised if you need 412+ for Dartford OOC.

Sorry to be dense, but how are you comparing with other years? Does it give the mean score somewhere?

If you look through the scores this year and compare to other years there are far more children scoring highly this year. These aren't exact figures (because I didn't write my calculations down earlier) but around 500 children scored 415 or above this year, I think in 2024 it was around 110 children scoring above 415.

11plus2026 · 15/10/2026 18:06

Congratulations to those that passed, and commiserations to those who missed out on a pass - please know (and I am sure you don’t need me to say this but) scores do not determine who the child is. It is just a number on a test that they did on that particular day.

My DS passed. On HT appeal as 2 marks down on one of the papers but over the overall score. He’s so happy.

11toast · 15/10/2026 18:17

Hi, is a score of 383 enough for Judd inner area?
