Longchamp backpack vs tote

Year 6 daughter heading to secondary next year and very keen on getting the ‘correct’ attire…

At school tours I’ve noticed the girls using Longchamp totes. Can I get away with getting a slightly more practical/posture friendly Longchamp backpack instead? They seem to come in medium only though. Am I setting my daughter up for ridicule?? Will medium be large enough for Year 7??

Frankly embarrassed to have written this…

I wouldn't. I've seen a few Longchamps backpacks but none on tweens and teens so I'm guessing they are not considered cool (which is usually not related to practical or posture friendly)

Personally, I'd wait until your DD asks for a certain bag, otherwise it's sure to be the wrong one. By the time your DD arrives at secondary school, in a year's time, things may well have changed.

Also, schools often have kit lists and recommend what sort of bag pupils should use.

If she wants to be like everyone else you will need to get the tote.

I really like the look of thr backpacks and think they are largely for the "mum" life, I would get the child a tote
