How did children find the QE exam this year overall?

I'm starting this thread because I couldn't find one. How did children find the QE exam this year, not asking about question types but just a general vibe. My son said Maths was fine but English was a bit harder.

Difficult to say as the threshold is so high and too many extremely well prepared kids with a limited number of places. There’s not a lot of room for mistakes. The wait for the result is horrendous.

What's the QE exam? I'm assuming you don't mean my local QE sixth form (named after QE1 of England) because they don't do an entrance exam. Excellent results though.

My child said the same. Maths was first, which was good as he likes maths, and he thought it was straight forward but time pressured, as expected. The English text were long, but he finished it, or so he tells me despite a toilet break...
I’m not sure what to think. He’s very inconsistent and prone to silly mistakes. The range in his practice results at home is wide so who knows how it would go.

Exactly the same. My DS said math was fine but no much time left to check after finish the whole paper though.
English was harder especially the SPAG were abnormal mistakes to find. He told me he chose the ugly ones. Second Comprehension was worth 4 pages long and too many complicated questions to answer. 😢

My son said it was difficult, both maths and English. I feel really disheartened and not expecting a pass at this point. He doesn’t stand a chance against the extremely well prepared kids 😢
