Trafford 2027 FSCE 11+

I’m starting this new thread specifically for Trafford Consortium families whose children will be moving from GL Assessment to FSCE next year.
As this is a first-time experience for all of us, I thought it would be helpful to have a dedicated group where we can share information, discuss preparation, ask questions, and support each other along the way.
We can also use this group to share any new updates or information about FSCE 2027, particularly for children who will be taking the 11+ in Trafford.
Hopefully, we can all learn from each other and make the preparation journey a little easier for everyone. 😊

Can I join in as well please?

Gloucestershire is also using FSCE for next year's test and we won't know the content/format until the end of this month either. It's so frustrating for me as a tutor who wants to do the best for my little ones.

I've been following Trafford as well looking for statements and details in the hope that they'll be enlightening.

So far I'm obviously doing the usual KS2 English & Maths work. I've stopped NVR (except as puzzles for those who like the challenge at home) I'm continuing with all vocab-based VR ( but not codes) and am planning on putting together a "critical thinking/enrichment" type club to address the foundation subjects and cultural capital elements.

Oh and creative writing - which I'm really hoping will be in both Trafford and G7.😁

What are you all doing as parents? Please share all of your plans, resources and ideas and I'll do the same. ☺️

Did you see they confirmed no creative writing? I’m just following a Facebook group for this and they’re discussing it. It’s stressful

There is nothing official about the creative writing so far. Hopefully school will publish the exam details after this year result and CAF application
