Teddington secondary school experiences?

My DD has just been offered a place at teddington school. She’s yr 8 now. We need to make a decision by mid week so wanted to see if I can gather some perspectives from parents with children there now. I have read the latest ofsted report which looks really good but want some opinions good and bad.

I have not got children there. But I know some children who have gone there and they liked it a lot. Two of those experienced bullying at Grey Court and have found Teddington much kinder. Don't know much about the academics.

@AbsintheAndChips thank you. The latest ofsted reads like a nurturing school which is what I really want for my DD. Are there children at the school now?

I'm in the borough though not in main catchment. I hear good things.

I think it has just had a highly rated OFSTED inspection. The Head is popular with, parents, staff and students. I have a feeling the school hit the news with a review that found it was one of the most successful schools in terms of student satisfaction. I will see if I can find the news story

The only child I know who is still there is doing her GCSEs this year. She has had a very happy time there after a bad start at Grey Court.

@phantomgirl22 This ranking was based purely on the Ofsted Parentview question "My child is happy at this school." A few local secondary schools put out press releases to say they were in the Times top 50, and there were others that were in the top 50 that didn't put out press releases, presumably because they don't employ a marketing person to do that sort of thing and/or don't want to feed Rupert Murdoch's clickbait revenue stream. 🙂
