Hello, all,

Myself and family are looking into relocating to shropshire and are looking for honest opinions and have a couple questions which hopefully you can answer for us please.

Firstly - Where in Shropshire is the best to move to for families with a child who had SEN and both children who have Autism & adhd which has low crime rate and has a mixture of rural and city life so not too quiet and not too loud.

Secondly - Where has the best state secondary schools and best secondary SEN schools for a child who has an EHCP.

Thank you in advance to anyone who replies.

🙂

No cities in Shropshire. Major towns are Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry and Ludlow. Most of what you are asking could be found out by googling.

Lakeland’s school in ellesmere has a specialist autism unit called kettlemere where you can flex between the main secondary school and the unit. I’ve heard great things about kettlemere but it’s difficult to get into being in catchment helps.

The best state secondary schools I would say academically are
the priory in Shrewsbury, you need to live close to guarantee a place. Then onto Shrewsbury sixth form college.
in the south of Shropshire I’d say Bridgnorth endowed.
in the north The corbet school.

not familiar with their sen setups though.
