My son started reading more regularly but I’m a bit stuck for ideas. Any parents/ teachers got any recommendations for fiction books for teenage boy age 14/15. Recently read the hunger games, the hobbit, Jurassic park, Divergent. We have the Alex rider series by Anthony Horowitz and young fiction by Wilbur Smith. Nothing too heavy as school covering classics with GCSE English.

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
My Family and Other Animals (yes, a classic but lightweight)
If Only They Could Talk (old but funny)
Terry Pratchett

If he likes teen dystopian future then the Scythe trilogy by Neal Shusterman is really good.

Mickey Bolitar series for YA by Harlen Coben
Warhead by Jeff Henigson - do not be deterred by the title!

Maze runner series?
Wool (sometimes called Silo) series?

(both dystopian fiction)

Has he read Percy Jackson? I think they might be aimed at slightly younger children, but if he's just getting back into reading I think it can be a good idea to start with something undemanding.
