Wrekin College

Does anyone know what’s going on at Wrekin College? Considering it for my children (current y7&4) but have heard they are making cuts and many redundancies and it’s panicked me. Thanks

My child attends Wrekin Prep - there have been redundancies at both the Prep and College lately including the IT teacher at the Prep and this will now be ran by the class teachers at prep. At the college about 5 teachers went including the Reverend, sports coaches, maths and some of the matrons.

We had a talk from their acting heads advising us of financial concerns and that they are selling off and renting out a lot of the houses on the grounds to raise some capital.

Fees have recently increased again by 7%.
