Bishop Douglass Finchley

We are looking at a possible move to be very local to Bishop douglass school and dont know anyone locally to ask, and Ofsted obviously dosent give much of a picture of day to day life at a school so does anyone have any opinions of this school at all?

When I lived in Barnet kids would leave Bishop Douglas to come to Friern Barnet which wasn’t much better at the time. That was 20 years ago mind but it had a bad rep then.

Bishop Douglass has a much better reputation these days. I believe it’s quite strict but seems to get good results. If you’re looking for a mixed school, Christs College Finchley seems very popular these days too.

We hadn't considered christs college as the council didn't tell us they had any spaces, but they've actually just told us they do so thats an option too. Its hard to know which one to choose as we are not from the area! Also Friern Barnet was on the list but their ofsted mentions behaviour issues which doesn't appeal at all

If it was me, I’d sway towards Christ’s College but I do not have children at either school.
