Hello everyone!

Any reviews on Mill Hill school. My daughter is quite sporty and looking for a sports scholarship there. How are the children in general? Is it a friendly environment?

Thanks

You will find mixed reviews about Mill Hill. Many from parents who don’t even have children at the school! I am a current parent and think the new head has really improved standards. There are lots of happy children and the sports provision is very good. It’s not trying to compete with Highgate or Habs on an academic footing but there are lots of children who get good results.

Good to know that you are a current parent there! Would you be able to tell how are the children overall especially when they join in Year 9. Are the children friendly? Are the sports good for boys and girls both or just boys? I am happy that they are not as academic like Highgate 😊

Is anyone considering the new 1721 Maths School in Mill Hill?

We are planning to apply.

Will be attending their Maths Camp in August to get a better feel for what the school will be like as well.

Absolutely! If our DD wont get any Oxbridge/ICL offers, then we hope for a trainee offer from the funding donors🤔

Did you know that you are replying to yourself?
Reminds me of that pushchair thread from many years ago!

Ups, how embarrassing! 😱 Hot weather this summer hasnt helped to cool my eagerness to chat about the 11+ topic. That reminds me of an old joke: it is totally okay to talk to yourself. It is even okay to answer yourself. But you are in trouble when you ask yourself to repeat what you just said🤔

Nothing to be embarrassed about! Made me laugh for sure, as it's something I will do myself!
