Alleyn's waitlist thread

Hello - just checking if anyone else in same position as us with Alleyn's as first choice but on the waitlist? We have offers from the other schools we applied to but have pur fingers crossed for Alleyn's.
Anyone know of movement in waitlist? What this looks like abd whats the best way forward?

Last year there was movement on the waitlist. This was only after the offer day and acceptance deadline though. Heard they were conservative with offers last year as two years ago too many kids accepted and they had to add another class. Stay positive and let them know how keen you are. It really is a brilliant school. Congrats on the the other offers!

Thank you for your reply.
Its the still being in a limbo feeling that is so unsettling.
I emailed the registrar as spon as the email came that we would like to remain on the waitlist and are still keen on a place.
Do you thinj its worth giving them a call tomorrow aswell? Unsure if the offices are open in half term.

It’s worth a try to call them tomorrow . It’s the busiest time for them so they might be available. I know the school is open for camps so they might be there. Holding thumbs for you!

Offer holders day is on Thurs 26th (and other offer holders’ days are generally that week) so guess many people may decide after that or at the weekend - would be worth a polite follow up on 27th perhaps to be front of mind? I doubt there will be any WL movement before that tbh, and more likely it would be even closer to the deadline of 4 March before they make any WL offers (if any). Sorry I know the wait is awful.
