Habs Offers

Hi all, our DD received an offer from both Habs and STAHS. Habs offer is also with a scholorship so we are planning to go ahead and accept them.

Curious to know if many people received scholarship from Habs this year? It seems they might have given more but less percentage to distribute the budget.

Hi we are between habs and stahs for my daughter. Curious to know what is your thoughts habs girls versus stahs?

We got offers to Habs and STAHS, no scholarships. We love both schools but have accepted STAHS as we live in St Albans and it’s walkable for our DD.

We have various friends with DDs at STAHS who are very happy with it - a couple have commented that it’s really fun, which is encouraging! We were also struck with just how enthusiastic about the school were some of the girls we met on the open day.

We were very impressed with Habs though and would likely have plumped for that if the logistics were better (though I had a nagging doubt it may be a bit too ‘hot-house’ for DD).

We felt very similar when we visited both schools. While they are both excellent, Habs stood out for us. The taster sessions really helped, and DD came away saying she loved the way the lessons were delivered and how engaging the teachers were.
Drama is also a big passion for her, and meeting the Head of Drama made a real impression — the range of opportunities on offer sounded fantastic.
STAHS is undoubtedly a strong school, but each time we visited Habs, it was the students who made the biggest difference. The girls seemed confident, grounded and genuinely proud to be Habs girls, and there was a real sense of belonging that really resonated with us.
It ultimately felt like the right fit for our daughter.

Thank you very mıch for your post, it was very helpful. Unfortunately we have missed taster session experience. Drama is also a big passion for my daughter and your message is really encouraging. Hopefully we will be more clear after the place holder event. Many thanks
