St Paul's boys - Bursary

Hi, has anyone applied to St Paul's boys for a bursary? Just curious to know from anyone who has applied :

  1. Does St Paul's outsource the means testing/ check for the bursary to an outside external company ( third party) or does the school have a finance team that handles the 'means testing' of the application internally?

As one of my neighbours didn't have a very good experience at another school with the bursary testing when it was done by a third party external company.
It's put her off trying to apply again for younger child.

Thanks.

Hmm … We’ve been very fortunate with large bursaries at prep and senior levels at other schools. When you say didn’t have a very good experience, what do you mean? Does your neighbour feel she was treated unfairly, or humiliated, or misled?

You do have to be prepared for a high degree of intrusiveness at the application stage - a bursary award can be a serious amount of money. I would rather the process was rigorous, regardless of whether carried out in house or by a third party.
