recommendation for secondary schools

I just recently moved to the UK from germany for my husbands work. Was very sudden so we had no time to prepare for how competitive everything is with education in the UK. My child is currenlty 11 years old, and we are looking for some recoomendations for private schools around london. We are slightly overwhelmed, and are currently a bit unhappy with the school he is going to.

Whereabouts in London are you?

Will he be 12 before 31/8/26 ie is he currently in year 7 in England?

London secondary schools entrance for private and grammar are very intense. So worth checking out, but what is your son year group in UK? Year 5 or Year 6?

What type of school was your son attending in Germany? Is he fully bilingual? I presume you know about DSL.
