Secondary schools in moray

We are seriously considering moving to Forres area in the highlands but wanted to know more about the secondary schools as we’ve 3 children, 1 in secondary sch, 1 just about to go up and 1 in a few years time. They are currently in a very good academic school but there is a lot of pressure to achieve. We would be making the move to have a better balance of life in the outdoors but don’t want to end up messing up our children’s education either and have friends who don’t rate the schools their children are at. We are looking at Burghead/forres/ Nairn/ Inverness area. We want our kids to be happy and achieve their best but with a sensible approach to the academic side which is a large reason for the potential move. My husband went through the Scottish system and I feel it’s better in many ways but also really don’t want to limit their opportunities for my own desire to move. Thank you in advance .

My DH grew up near Forres, and in-laws still live nearby. There are limited options for high academic achievers unfortunately. DH and his sister were sent to boarding school. In laws are looking at private for their DC.

If you can move closer to Inverness you may have better options than in Moray.
