NLCS 11+ Interview

We have the interview towards the end of next week and haven’t really done any preparation for this. My daughter missed her schools interview prep session and practice mock due to test clashes.

Does anyone have a tips or recommendations for a tutor I can book a mock / practice session with?

We found this book helpful, and bizarrely my kids quite enjoyed going through the questions!

There’s a book that was recommended on here called School Interview Practice - I can’t remember who the author is but it has a yellow cover and we found it really useful. It gave suggested questions and different examples of poor, good and excellent answers - it gave a good idea of what they’re looking for.

i’m surprised your school aren’t able to find the time to offer your daughter a mock test though.

Someone told me it was quite full on not the typical gentle interview so I have found a tutor to do some prep

@Artfuldreamer1 was it useful? My daughter is not shy, she loves talking but never did interview before. I just didnt want to put pressure on her - she has CLGS interview this week- I think its a bit late to arrange anything now🫣

For my daughter (and me) very helpful. I arranged same day a 1 hour session online. I daughter is the type who prefers to know more about an interview and gains confidence from preparation. However, if you feel your daughter is fine as is then I wouldn’t advise you to change your plan. I know the NLCS interview is perhaps more full on than other schools, so it was useful for us.
