KGS interview

My son has a general interview coming up at KGS. Does that mean he's got a good chance of a place? He's quite a chatty chap so tends to come across well.

Congrats to your DS on making to interview. Usually, a general interview means that, unless flags raised during the interview, he will be offered a place. The HM has always been of the view that he does not like calling kids for interview and then reject them at that stage...
I do not know which others you have in the running, but it is a great school!

Do you mind me asking whether your son received an offer of a place. My child also had a general interview, and we were feeling hopeful as he’s also quite chatty and comes across well. However we received a reserve list place, so unsure as to whether the interview went badly or his exam results just weren’t quite good enough comparatively. Hope you don’t mind me asking, he’s feeling rather dejected and the waiting is hard!!

Hi, I’m not the OP sorry but in case it’s helpful… Our son had a general interview and received an offer. Will KGS give you any feedback if you ask admissions? I doubt it was that your son didn’t do well at either exam or interview - I get the impression they want to offer everyone that gets to interview - but have to whittle it down and it’s just how people do on that one day? What I mean to say is I’m sure he is really bright and engaging.
