Epsom college - engagement days

The emails have just come out with details of the engagement days in Jan. Lots of questions …

  1. Does everyone get invited to the engagement day or just the top x number from the ISEB test?
  2. They say the engagement day is not assessing the child and no 121 interviews - does this mean their mind is already nearly made up who is getting an offer, and they are just getting sense of the working groups?
  3. We also were interested in applying for music scholarship, but not sure if there is an audition for that?

Seems odd not to have an interview.

i think they just mean that there are no formal written assessments or 1-1 interviews on the day - they definitely will be ‘assessing’ the children on the engagement day ie seeing if they think they will be a good fit for the school.
