Hampton 10+ 2025

Hello everyone, starting a thread to see what other parents thoughts were on the 10+ this Saturday? My son said the maths had a few tricky questions…

My son said the same thing and he said he could not complete the full paper… He said the English was ok but Maths was extremely difficult.

So I got an email stating we will know if they make the interview by Friday so hard waiting for the results but lots of boys took the exam and all of them must have worked hard for this

Anyone else wish they would stop sending messages about school activities, and seeing the words Hampton 10+ pop up on the phone… it adds to the pain of waiting.

Just got the sad news that my DS did not make the interview stage need to figure out how to console him.

I think it’s just about viewing it as a practice run putting him in a much better position for next year. No biggie, no pressure.

I think you need to emphasise that most people don’t get through and this is harder than 11+ as everyone focussing on the one school. At 11+ everyone applying to lots of schools. This is good practice. They will give feedback which can help next time. Then maybe do something nice as a reward for trying.
