Hi

Does anyone live here? If so, which secondary school do your children attend please as it doesn’t seem to be in catchment for any school.

Thanks!

Are they likely to pass the 11+?

Elonder · 06/10/2025 20:42

Yes, I think so, but I want to know where other children go who do not pass and what the options are.

Is it Clement Danes in Chorleywood?

The catchment for locals schools doesn’t seem to stretch as far as the Cedars estate and so which school do children go to who don’t pass the 11plus? I’m not familiar with the area but keep being told they get Rickmansworth or Clement Danes, yet both those schools are not within catchment.

Do they even have catchments? Not all schools do and it’s all straight line distance

Elonder · 07/10/2025 12:59

Yes, it is a straight line distance but this area hasn’t fallen within that for years.

The Reach school is most likely if don’t get clement Dane’s or Rickmansworth on distance. 11+ places are only a small percentage of places and high levels of competition including from Harrow areas as can get the met line.

Forgot st Joan of arc school also in Rickmansworth

The "catchment" area varies significantly by year, so you have to check the most recent distances which are shown on the school websites. Assume you are familiar with the South West Herts Consortium tests? Each school will also show the lowest score which qualified for a place each year.

For those who are too far on distance for St Clement Danes, most go to the Reach. Otherwise, they tend to offer Westfield in West Watford.
