The Beaconsfield School Reviews

Hi all,

live in Beaconsfield Old Town a stone throw from TBS. My first is taking the 11+ next year. Fingers crossed they pass, however if not TBS would be the obvious choice.

Did a walk round yesterday, but still unsure.

Can anyone share experiences of this school and the quality of the teaching?

What Secondary is considered the best in this area now? moving could be an option if needed.

thanks

I can suggest other schools as I grew up in Chesham and still have family in the area. My nieces DC are at Holmer Green Senior School which is only 6 miles away. I believe it’s a good school.

Theres also Amersham School which is a bit closer (but the traffic into Amersham in the morning can be slow). I don’t know much about it as the secondaries in Amersham used to be single sex and then they merged. And The Misbourne in Great Missenden although that’s a bit further.
In the other direction, there’s Chalfonts Community College in Chalfont St Peter. Can’t tell you much about that other than my Dad went there a verrrrrry long time ago when it was known as Old Jobs.

I don’t think any of them are considered bad per se but it’s always best to go see them to form your own opinions!
