Norbury Manor High school - thoughts?

Hi All

can I have some thoughts on Norbury Manor High. we went to look at it last night and our daughter loved it. but it does make me wonder if the teachers just say what people want to hear.

I went way back when but when I went it was terrible and I couldn't wait to leave.

What are the exam results like? Norbury is a great place in South London - a hidden gem. It’s worth checking that the schools reflects the upward trajectory of Norbury

Exam results are the better end, so we went to look took our ten year old and decided that's the one we are going to go for.

Weird thing is they have photos all over the school and I found myself in one of them.

Amazing! How lovely that your photo is there too for your daughter to inspire her. Norbury schools are certainly very good. We have a few years to go but are certainly staying put in Norbury!

I used to work there about 12 years ago and it was a nice school then, with high quality caring staff and good behaviour management without being overly strict. Obviously it might have changed since then but one good thing is that, because it’s only 10 min walk from the station, staff could get there from a wide area meaning it was easily able to recruit high quality teachers. It also meant lots of cheap school trips across London for the kids.

yes it was lovely to see, we found one of my mum aswell. so I think that cemented her wanting to go, and she loved the maths room.
