How long did it take yours to settle at high school?

DD just started high school and is finding it SO overwhelming. There’s just so much to remember and she’s exhausted.

she didn’t know anyone but seems to be starting to make friends.

How long did yours take to settle in?

About a term, to properly settle

Mine is pretty settled in terms of friends (moved with some and has met others) but absolutely exhausted.

DD is in Yr 9 but i still remember the first term of Yr 7. It takes the first half term to make the superficial friendships to ensure you have someone to talk to etc and then up until Xmas to realise you may not actually really like that person and to find your "tribe".
So the first half of Yr 7 can be a bit volatile as everyone beds in etc.
