Posting on here for more traffic.

I would be interested in finding out more context in relation to the scoring/results of my DC's Morrisby profile.

I'm aware that they've done well (so this post is not to brag) but I'd love to find out more about where they might lie on a population level.

They scored 97% or above (what Morrisby calls 'Very High') across all domains:
Verbal - 97%
Numerical - Above 99%
Abstract - 97%
Spatial - 97%
Mechanical - 97%

Also interested in children who have scored highly who also have a special educational need.

I've already read Morrisby's own information but would like more granularity, if anyone has more info.

Thanks in advance.

No idea what any of that means sorry

It’s an online career profiling test.
Helps to identify what areas might suit the person.

BestZebbie · 06/09/2025 14:58

This example report: Morrisby Online report for Sample Candidate implies that the percentage given might be the amount of people who scored 'at this level or below'. So if you do better than 97% of people who took the same test your mark is put in the 90-99% "Very High" range.

The test is supposed to measure the way you think rather than your skills and knowledge, so the scores you have given indicate your DS is very quick-thinking and/or very good at this particular type of test question!

Yes but there is also an aptitude part of it (i.e. like an IQ test). That's the part I'm interested in.

Yes, thanks I've read what's out there on Morrisby but wanted to know more detail. E.g. it's possibly not that common to score highly across all domains. DC is very academic.
