Chestnut Grove language specialist test

Can anyone share how they prepped for this test? The school haven't shared much info other than it tests language aptitude. We've been doing lots of verbal reasoning practise but it would be great to have any examples of test questions or tips about prepping for it!

The only thing I can say is my eldest did the test and had he not been offered his first choice he would have been offered a language place at CG. He proved to be pretty bad at languages over the years (similar to me) and he is dyslexic. My understanding the test is based on a fake language. This was years ago though so it may have changed.

When my son did it (he is currently Y9) they taught them a fake language and then they had to answer a questions based on that. I don't think there is anything they can really do to prepare for it. My son didn't do anything and got a place
