Compton School Barnet Preloved used uniform

Hello Mums,

My child would be starting Compton School in Barnet next month. I am a single mum on council housing temporarily accommodation and I really request any parents who have unwanted used preloved Compton School uniform that they no longer want. Any Logo items would be highly beneficial please, especially Compton school bag, school tie, PE shirt and PE black top.

Hi Have you spotted the link to the Mayor’s support fund on the school’s website under information on pre-loved uniform?

@LadyLapsang I am from a borough outside of Barnet hence I am not eligible for Mayor’s support fund as that is specifically for residents of the same borough as their child’s school.

Have you spoken to student services about the preloved uniform they have at the school?

Join some of the Barnet FB groups, also Mill Hill and Finchley. People there might be able to help you. Also Next Door and Freecycle. Does your own borough have a charity that could help?

From the school's website:
" if you have difficulty in purchasing items of uniform due to cost, then please contact the school to discuss."
It also says Student Services have preloved uniform.

Don't be afraid to ask the school. Most schools have a stash of secondhand items, and will waive any charge for them where there is a need.

@lanthanum They are saying they have no PE kit or school bags or school ties; all these are compulsory logo items.

Are there any links you can share so that I could please join those groups. Daily I’m checking up on Nextdoor and freecycle without any luck. My borough says they would not fund anything other than free school meals
