Help! A Level English Lit texts

Hi,

Are there are teachers of Edexcel English Literature A Level here, please?

My daughter needs to know whether she can read two novellas to compare, for her NEA. She'd like to go for Claire Keegan's Foster and Small Things Like These, but they total about 200 pages together. Is this too short, or is it permitted?

I would want to ask their teacher.

Our college (different board) set one text and the students could choose the other. I think they would recommend against if they thought there wasn't enough material for the question. My point being that the college may say no, in the student's best interests, even if the syllabus doesn't.
