Our lad is starting high school this year. Im glad we looked last week at bus passes because our council wants them applied for by today!! He's going 4.2 miles away so it costs 750 quid a year.

I can trump that, 3.9 miles and £1,255 pa. It’s outrageous.

It was more a recommendation for children for kids going into year 7,i was surprised bus pass applications had to be in so soon. I was also a little surprised about the price.

Wow! I thought £590 was bad enough.

Presumably you have all opted for alternatives to your nearest school, otherwise at 3 miles plus travel, it would be free.
