What does your Y7 use as a calculator? Does everyone use the same one or different schools different ones??

Just that really ... I imagine Casio have a rather nice monopoly but was just wondering

I think this may be school dependent. My dc have to have a specific calculator (a casio) which can be purchased from the school shop. It is the one that is used up to gcse. I've just had to buy a new one for dc3 for alevel maths (also a casio).
It's also worth noting not all calculators can be taken into exams.

most schools have one they recommend and that all the teachers have. It’s usually a new one for a level as you need more stuff at that point.

the Casio fx83 gt is very popular.

it’s got a lot of videos showing how to do stuff on it on YouTube and similar.

This one. The cheaper one with the blue button, not the more expensive one with the gold button.

It's an absolute abomination but Casio have discontinued the better ones.

You can get them in the supermarket.
