Amersham secondary school

Hi all, anyone’s kids going to Amersham secondary school. Any reviews please. We thinking about giving this an option. Is it a good state school?

In a county like bucks that has grammar schools, the schools which kids go to when they get low marks on 11 plus are never going to be great.

chalfont college, Amersham school, Beaconsfield secondary etc

15 years ago Amersham School was somewhere many parents tried to avoid for their DCs, but since then a strong HT (who in turn established a great SLT) has turned it right around.

All 8 of DD's core friendship group went to university, and 3 of them have Masters (DD's is particularly impressive). They're also still a close group, seven years after leaving.
