BRIT school - Dance strand

Hello,
Does anyone have a child or know anything about the dance strand at Brit school at Y10? My daughter got a place in Y10 and we are in doubt whether she should leave her school (also state school) where she has an opportunity to have the Dance GCSE. My main doubt is about the academic performance of BRIT. It's much lower than her current school. I understand that it's difficult to compare and mainstream school and a performing art school. So any thought, experience would be appreciated.
