Abbey Reading

Looking at The Abbey, Reading for our daughter in year 5. So need to apply now to schools. Any parents with recent experience?
Our daughter is very academic, always been at the top of her class. Abbey has a reputation for being academic so we thought might be a good fit. We saw St Helens and St Katherine’s in Abingdon as an alternative and really liked it but it will be a 40 mins commute. While Abbey is quite local.
Our daughter will be sitting for Kendrick - but can’t depend on her getting into it. So want to have a solid backup option. Thanks a lot everyone.

Knew a mum who moved her daughter from Kendrick to Abbey and she had no complaints. I’m not familiar with the other private schools you have put down so can’t compare.

My daughter went all through The Abbey from 3 to 18. It is a superb school. If you live locally then it is a more practical choice than St Helen & St Katherine's.
