Hi,
I am looking at Latymer school for my son for secondary.
I would like to understand from parents who have children at the school, how is the commute to the school ?
If we were to relocate, what would be good areas around the school to live ?

To clarify do you mean the state grammar school in Edmonton, north London?

There is a private school in west London with a similar name hence much confusion in this section of MN.

The commute varies on where you live. The most common areas are around the leafy bits of Enfield, N21 - I think that's quite a short bus ride - and Barnet. But plenty come from further away and take either bus, train or tube and train.

It's impossible to say what the commute is like without knowing where you'll be coming from. My daughter's friends come from Enfield, Muswell Hill, Barnet, Hackney, Walthamstow & Chingford so a pretty wide area.

Pupils come to Latymer from all over the place as it has such a large catchment area, the likelihood is that they will see a Latymer student on the bus no matter where they come from
