Hello!
looking for opinions on what to do! We have an offer for the private salesians college but also unexpectedly got a place at tomlinscote state school.
both rated outstanding!

my only real concern is we’re busy with his younger brother (with Sen) and It’s really attractive to have a school with smaller class sizes.

What is best for this child?

I have two at Salesian. Our younger started and we loved it so much we moved our eldest from his school over to Salesian.

I can’t rate it highly enough - truly outstanding teaching, excellent pastoral care, genuine commitment to bringing out the best in them, and superb sports on offer. My boys are both pretty academic and sporty though, so I guess others might have different experience.

Tomlinscote is very well thought of in the Camberley area. My granddaughter went there and my grandson is there.

Tomlinscote is dreadful for children with SEN. Not had a dc there, but heard from several people who have or who deal with them in a professional capacity around SEN.

General view of people who have had dc there in the last few years has been style over substance.

I have one at Salesian and one about to join. Cannot rate it highly enough! The smaller class sizes, brilliant teaching and pastoral care make it for us. I’m plus great sort and drama/music
