Bursary income levels

We have a child currently in state primary, self tutoring with Bond books and past papers in prep for 11+, aiming for grammar and private schools that offer bursary.

We have a v. modest London household income of 75K, no wriggle room to re-mortgage on our modest 2 bed flat, (purchased when my parents died and left 90K, which all went into a deposit.

While we wouldn't expect 100% bursary , I was surprised that Highgate have a cut off at 70K.

On 75K we don't feel anywhere near in a position to find their 8K+ a term fees, and yes, I know we are not entitled to nothing, but I wondered if anyone had experience of Highgate bursary?

Only reason we ask is, most private schools (In London) have higher cut offs

Westminster: No cut off , individual case by case
City: 70K NET ( so around 110K gross)
Latymer Upper: No cut off , individual case by case
UCS: 110K (assume gross)
St Pauls (boys): 135K (assume gross)
St Pauls (girls) 140K gross
GDST girls: 107K (assume gross)
Whitgift: 85K (assume gross)
Emanuel: 80K
